Dr. Sarah Danial completed her Bachelor of Science at the University of Alberta in Edmonton in 1987 and also obtained her M.D. from the University of Alberta in 1991. She completed her psychiatry residency in 1998 at the University of Toronto (U. of T.) and then did a fellowship in child psychiatry at the U. of T. She is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and is also board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology. Dr. Danial obtained her J.D. (Juris Doctor) at U. of T. in 2016, and completed the Law Practice Program, an alternate route to licensing at Ryerson University in Toronto in 2017. She was called to the Ontario Bar in January 2018. Dr. Danial has practiced medicine in Toronto, the Niagara Region and Penetanguishene, and also in Kentucky, U.S.A. Dr. Danial also assesses patients on the Ontario Telemedicine Network and is looking forwarding to combining her medical and legal training in the field of health law. Dr. Danial resides in Niagara Falls with her husband and their three sons.
Plastic Surgery
Dr. Huq studied for two years at Dalhousie in Halifax and then attended the University of Western Ontario for his M.D.. He started in General Surgery in 1993 and completed his Plastic Surgery training at McMaster in Hamilton in 1998. Dr. Huq then completed fellowship in Hand and Microsurgery at the Kleinert Institute in Louisville, Kentucky. He then returned to Canada and worked at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto while completing a masters in Neuroscience and Behavioural Science in Hamilton. Dr. Huq has settled in Niagara Falls, Ontario since 2000 and is currently an assistant clinical professor in the Department of Surgery at McMaster University. Dr Huq is the Guest editor to the textbook “Local Anesthesia in Plastic Surgery” and served in quality assurance and investigations for 15 years with the CPSO.
This course is designed for family physicians, specialists, and allied health care professionals. The aim is to provide evidence-based material, as well as practical and relevant clinical pearls that will be easy to implement into one’s own medical practice. Conference attendees will be invited to complete a pre-course Needs Assessment to assist the faculty with the development of their presentations.
