Dr. Subhas Ganguli
Toronto, ON Canada
Dr. Ganguli is currently an Assistant Professor in Gastroenterology at McMaster University. He was also the Gastroenterology Education Coordinator at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Hamilton from 2003-2013 and has been in charge of Gastroenterology electives there since 2003.
Dr. Richard Tytus
Toronto, ON Canada
Dr. Richard Tytus is a family physician in Hamilton practicing in the downtown core area known as “Code Red”. He is also an Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at McMaster University. He currently sits on the OMA board and is the OMA District 4 Director. Dr. Tytus has a special interest in stress management and
metabolic disease. He was named the regional Doctor of the Year in 2012.
Dr. John Cocker
Toronto, ON Canada
Dr. Cocker qualified from Barts, UK in 1958 and came to Canada for compulsory military service. Following this, he was involved in research in Mountain Sickness, and built a laboratory at 17,000 ft on Mount Logan, which holds the title of the highest altitude building in Canada. Going into general practice he also became the Medical Director of two Cruise Companies, providing them with physicians. In 1989 he founded STITCHES, The Journal of Medical Humour, which quickly became the most read medical magazine in Canada, and went on to be published under license in seven other countries. Through the magazine he started arranging medical conferences, and has arranged over 90 conferences in 40 different countries. In 2000-2002 he skippered a 74 ft. ketch around the world with paying passengers. Dr. Cocker has always held a passion for aviation and has built several full size aircrafts, the latest he flew around North America. He is now limited to flying radio controlled model aircrafts. In addition to arranging CME conferences, Dr. Cocker is a respected coroner.
Dr. Tony Hamilton
Orthopedics and Anesthesia
Dr. Hamilton graduated from Witwatersrand University in South Africa in 1970. In South Africa, he worked in orthopedics and anesthesia, before building a sailboat and setting sail from Durban, around the Cape of Good Hope, all the way to the Caribbean. He then arrived in Canada to do a locum, where he settled in the small town of Beachy, Saskatchewan, and later became the President of the Sask. College of Physicians. He retired to Costa Rica 15 years ago, where he still lives, but returns to Saskatchewan
annually to do locums.
