Dr. Gil Lichtshein is a Board-Certified Psychiatrist based in Boca Raton, FL. He earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago and completed his psychiatric residency at the University of Maryland/ Sheppard Pratt Psychiatry Residency Program, and his fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore.
Dr. Lichtshein is proud to be one of the early pioneers in using TMS in South Florida, starting in 2010 when it was still in its infancy. It gives him professional satisfaction to see how the advancements in treatments such as TMS, psychedelics, dissociatives, and empathogens and newer medications are helping treat psychiatric illness.
As a dedicated researcher, Dr. Lichtshein has authored or co-authored numerous articles and has participated in more than 20 research projects. He is also a regular presenter for the University at Sea on various topics, including his most recent talks about updated treatments for ADHD, TMS, and the treatment of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD).
Since 2005, Dr. Lichtshein has served as an Affiliate Clinical Assistant Professor of Clinical Biomedical Sciences at The Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine, Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton.
