Dr. Niec is a Professor in Paediatrics and Associate Member of the dept of Psychiatry at McMaster University. She has spent her career of over 30 years in addressing family violence through clinical work and teaching at McMaster University . She is an enthusiastic educator of all levels of learners in additional areas of interest such as professionalism, leadership, gender and health, and she is a professional and executive coach. She has held a number of leadership positions within the university and additionally with organizations both in the community and nationally with the Federation of Medical Women of Canada. She values time with family and friends, in nature hiking and at home gathering with food and connecting.
