Dr. Angela Kealey was raised in Ottawa, Ontario. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, specialized emphasis biomedical toxicology from the University of Guelph in 1997. She attended medical school at the University of Ottawa and received her medical degree summa cum laude in 2001. She then moved west for her internal medicine and cardiology training at the University of Calgary, where she joined the Faculty of Medicine in 2009.
She is a Clinical Assistant Professor, heads the Cardio-Obstetrics program and is the Cardiology site lead at the Foothills Medical Centre. She joined the Calgary Heart Centre in 2016. Dr. Kealey’s clinical practice and research interests are in the areas of heart disease in women, heart disease in pregnancy and general cardiology. She is actively involved in medical education and in the cardiac catheterization laboratory.
Outside of medicine, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, and is known to many as an avid baker.
