Dr. Sol Stern

B.Sc., M.Sc., MD, MCFP

Dr. Stern is a Family Physician and the Former Chief of Staff at Halton Healthcare Services who has been practicing in Oakville Ontario since 1983. He enjoys caring for patients as well as being involved in Continuing Medical Education. He enjoys Administrative Medicine, and is an avid user of Information Technology and began to have an EMR in his office in the late 1990’s. He loves all racquet sports, hiking with family, and golf. He is very blessed to have 4 children and 7 grandchildren.

Dr. Stern has been on Faculty for CME AWAY® programs for over 15 years and facilitated over 40 programs for CME AWAY®. He considers himself a facilitator and uses those skills to create highly interactive CME sessions for participants to voice their opinions in a non-threatening atmosphere. CME AWAY® creates an environment that allows participants and their partners to combine vacation and Certified CME by adapting the schedule to balance learning and relaxing.

As Medical Director, he organizes and applies for Certification from the College of Family Physicians of Canada. He ensures the faculty takes the content of their CME Programs very seriously and strives to create interactive, evidence based and non-biased CME Programs.
