Dr. Lim graduated from the University of Alberta Family Residency Program in 1993, and has embarked on an interesting though tortuous journey over the past 3 decades. From running an 100 hour/work solo practice to cofounding one of the largest primary care community clinics in Alberta. He also co-launched the Sherwood Park Primary Care Network, co-developed a multi-modality wellness centre servicing 2,000 patients daily, as well as co-created an award-winning 156-unit ‘age in grace’ senior retirement residence.
Apart from his clinical and teaching duties, Dr. Lim has been generous in sharing his story of medical entrepreneurism, with the associated pitfalls, setbacks, failures, battle scars, lessons learnt and wisdom gained. He is a well sought after speaker and podcaster in various settings, on topics like: Physician Wellness, Practice Transformation, Leadership Development, Financial Health and Medical Entrepreneurship. Non-medical spouses are always welcome in his presentations, as they usually find themselves validated, treasured and more aligned with their medical spouses.
