Dr. Rupert Kaul completed his clinical training in Infectious Diseases in Toronto, and then worked as a research fellow at the University of Nairobi and University of Oxford for several years while completing a PhD in immunology. He now practices general infectious disease and HIV medicine, and his research into the transmission of HIV, sexually transmitted infections and COVID-19 involves work with participants from Canada, Kenya and Uganda. He currently heads the Infectious Disease Division at the University Health Network and Mount Sinai Hospital, and also serves as ID division director at the University of Toronto.
