Dr. Davies did his medical school and residency at University of Toronto followed by a fellowship at Yale University. He is a Cardiologist at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute and a Professor in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Ottawa. As a founding member, he participated in the Nuclear Cardiology and PET imaging, heart failure, transplant and pulmonary hypertension programs. He served as President of the Medical and Scientific Staff of the Heart Institute and as Secretary of Canadian Cardiovascular Society. He founded and served as President of the Canadian Society of Cardiovascular Nuclear and CT Imaging. His colleagues recognized him with the Heart Institute Excellence in CME award in 2014 and as the inaugural Fellow of the Canadian Cardiovascular Society (FCCS) in 2015. He is Head of CME and CPD for the University of Ottawa Heart Institute, Director of the Cardiology Referral Clinic and a Cardiology participant in Champlain LHIN E-Consultation program.
