In his 40+ year medical career, Dr. Jovey has worked in many roles. Earlier in his career, he was a military medical officer and flight surgeon, a family physician and emergency doctor. For over 30 years, he treated patients with chronic non-cancer pain in an outpatient practice setting. He retired from active pain practice at the end of 2024 but continues to be a pain consultant for the Ontario eConsult Program. He has been a provincial investigating coroner in Ontario since 2017 and working as a MAiD assessor and provider in Halton and Peel since July 2024.
