Dr. Huq studied for two years at Dalhousie in Halifax and then attended the University of Western Ontario for his M.D.. He started in General Surgery in 1993 and completed his Plastic Surgery training at McMaster in Hamilton in 1998. Dr. Huq then completed fellowship in Hand and Microsurgery at the Kleinert Institute in Louisville, Kentucky. He then returned to Canada and worked at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto while completing a masters in Neuroscience and Behavioural Science in Hamilton. Dr. Huq has settled in Niagara Falls, Ontario since 2000 and is currently an assistant clinical professor in the Department of Surgery at McMaster University. Dr Huq is the Guest editor to the textbook “Local Anesthesia in Plastic Surgery” and served in quality assurance and investigations for 15 years with the CPSO.
