Dr. McKee was born and raised in Glens Falls, New York and is a son of a General Practitioner/Anesthesiologist (Queens University Medical School). He has two sisters (both Ophthalmologists) and one brother (General Surgeon). Currently, Dr. McKee is an active full-time ophthalmologist and has been practicing in Virginia for the past 38 years. After college, he attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology where he received a Master of Science degree. Dr. McKee then attended The Albany Medical College followed by a one year internship in Internal Medicine in Pittsburgh, PA. He completed my ophthalmology residency at the University of Kentucky Medical Center and has been board certified in ophthalmology since 1989. As a comprehensive ophthalmologist, Dr. McKee’s areas of interest are Diabetic Retinopathy, Cataract Surgery, Glaucoma, Macular Degeneration, as well as other anterior segment and medical retinal disorders.
He enjoys the clinical challenges and management of a wide variety of ophthalmic disorders. Dr. McKee finds it rewarding taking care of a combination of both medical and surgical patients.
