Aesthetic Medicine
Dr. Alibhai graduated from McGill Medical School in Montreal, Canada. He is the medical director of MD/cosmetic and laser clinic in Abbotsford and Port Moody, BC. He is a Past-President of the Canadian Association of Aesthetic Medicine. He is a clinical instructor for the UBC Faculty of Medicine and Langara College. He is a faculty member of the Canadian Association of Aesthetic Medicine and the National Society of Cosmetic Physicians. He has written articles in several aesthetic magazines and journals and frequently appears in the media as an expert in aesthetic medicine. Dr. Alibhai has been a keynote speaker at conferences organized by the International Union of Aesthetic Medicine, the French Society of Aesthetic Medicine, the Italian Society of Aesthetic Medicine, the Argentinean Society of Aesthetic Medicine, the Mexican Society of Aesthetic Medicine, the Colombian Association of Aesthetic Medicine, the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine, the Dubai Dermatology Association, the Asia Pacific Society of Aesthetic Medicine and the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine. He has written articles for Aesthetic Trends & Technologies, Aesthetic Buyers Guide, Healthy Aging Magazine and several other aesthetic magazines and journals. He was the Section Editor for the Aesthetic Medicine Chapter in the 3rd Edition of “Procedures for Primary Care” published by Elsevier. Dr. Alibhai has been training clinicians on various applications in aesthetic medicine since 2002 and has trained over 2,000 doctors and dentists worldwide. He is an internationally recognized speaker and author in the field of aesthetic medicine.
Dermatology & Aesthetic Medicine
Heather Woolery-Lloyd, MD is an internationally recognized expert in skin of color. She lectures nationally and internationally on the cosmetic concerns of skin of color. Dr. Woolery-Lloyd completed her undergraduate studies at Georgetown University and later earned her medical degree at the University of Miami School of Medicine. She completed her training in dermatology at the University of Miami where she also served as chief resident. Dr. Woolery-Lloyd participates extensively in clinical research, serving as an investigator for clinical trials with an emphasis on increasing inclusion of skin of color patients. She has been featured as an expert dermatologist in various publications including Refinery 29, Allure, and Prevention magazine. Dr. Woolery-Lloyd is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the Skin of Color Society. She also serves as Director of the Skin of Color Division for the University of Miami Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery. She is the creator of Specific Beauty, a skincare line specifically designed to address hyperpigmentation in women with melanin-rich complexions.
This course is designed for family physicians, specialists, and allied health care professionals. The aim is to provide evidence-based material, as well as practical and relevant clinical pearls that will be easy to implement into one’s own medical practice. Conference attendees will be invited to complete a pre-course Needs Assessment to assist the faculty with the development of their presentations.

Dr. Haneef Alibhai (British Columbia) and Dr. Heather Woolery-Lloyd (Miami, USA) are experts in Dermatology and Aesthetic Medicine. They have worked together on many CME programs in the past and have developed a CME program specifically for this event. This program has been designed to be interactive with many opportunities to ask questions. The topics that will be of interest to both family physicians, specialists and allied health professionals.
Aesthetic medicine is a broad term for specialties that focus on improving cosmetic appearance through the treatment of conditions including scars, skin laxity, wrinkles, moles, unwanted hair and skin discoloration.
Dr. Alibhai will discuss many aspects of aesthetic medicine including the use of dermal fillers, microneedling and the latest in advancements in skin tightening and resurfacing. He will also discuss the use of Botox for both facial rejuvenation and medical conditions such as headaches, TMJ and hyperhidrosis.
Dr. Woolery-Lloyd will concentrate on various aspects of skin pigmentations such as hyperpigmentation, acne in skin of color and melasma. She will review hair disorders, chemical peels, keloids, atopic dermatitis and seborrheic dermatitis.
