Rwanda is becoming increasingly popular for wildlife enthusiasts who are keen on witnessing the endangered Mountain Gorilla in the forests of the Parc National des Volcans. One of the most incredible experiences in Rwanda is gorilla trekking, especially when it is in the Virunga Volcanoes Mountains. There are a reported 900 mountain gorilla’s left in the world, hence making them an endangered specie. It is reported that at least half of these gorrila’s live in the Virunga Mountain Range. Tourism has rebounded well since the genocide of 1994 and tourism is encouraged, as the best way of saving the magnificent gorillas is to come and see them!
