About The Speaker

He is an assistant professor in the Department of Surgery at McGill Medical School and an associate physician in the Department of Family Medicine at St Mary’s Hospital. He is also an attending physician at the Royal Victoria and Montreal General Hospitals in the Emergency Department. Dr. Shulman is a medical representative on the Ethics Review Committee for the Institutional Review Board Services and is also a lecturer at McGill Medical School and a medical conference speaker (McGill Practical Course in Emergency Medicine; Canadian and Quebec Association of Emergency Physician Scientific Congresses).

About The Speaker

Dr. Hatcher graduated with her MD in 1982 from Memorial University of Newfoundland. In 1984, she received certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada(CFPC) and in 1994, was certified with the Canadian College of Health Service Executives. In 1998, she received the Canadian Psychiatric Association’s annual Mental Health Awareness Award. In 2001, the College of Family Physicians of Canada awarded her a fellowship. She has been doing pain management for over 25 years. Her focus is on a bio-psycho-social approach to pain management. She does a significant amount of teaching in chronic pain across the country and is a physician assessor for the College of Physicians and Surgeons of both Ontario and Newfoundland & Labrador. She chairs a subcommittee for the National Opioid Use Guideline Group. She is a member of the Canadian Academy of Pain Management and the Canadian Pain Society. She is a committee member of the CFPC community of practice in chronic pain. She is an Associate Clinical Professor of Family Medicine at McMaster University and Chief of Family Medicine at St. Joseph’s Healthcare in Hamilton, Ontario.

The aim is to provide evidence-based material, as well as practical and relevant clinical pearls that will be easy to implement into one’s own medical practice. The ambience of nature is captured perfectly and guests fall in love with River Lodge the moment they arrive. The 5-star Southern Camp is situated in the south of Kapama Private Game Reserve, a Big Five game reserve located adjacent to the Kruger National Park. Since this is a ‘Big Five’ reserve, seeing Lion, Elephant, Rhino, Buffalo and Leopard is possible. There will be a wrap-up morning conference session after the early morning game drive. A Boma dinner for everyone at both River Lodge and Southern Camp . Accommodation: Kapama Southern Camp & River Lodge (B, L, D)  Day 10 / Spend another day on exciting dawn and dusk game viewing activities in this wildlife paradise. Between game viewing activities, relax and enjoy all the amenities at your Kapama lodge or camp. A special dinner awaits this evening.
