Dr. Lee is a urologist practicing in Calgary, Alberta at the Rockyview General Hospital. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery, Division of Urology, University of Calgary. He completed his urology residency at Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario. He then moved to the University of Washington in Seattle. His research fellowship focused on male and female sexual health, infectious disease/prostatitis, neuro-urology, and andrology. He returned to Canada in 2001. He established the Sexual Health Clinic at the Prostate Cancer Centre in Calgary. He is the past chair of the Canadian Male Sexual Health Council and on the executive of the Canadian Society for the Study of the Aging Male. He is on the editorial board for the Journal of Men’s Health and the International Journal of Sexual Health, and a reviewer for the Journal of Sexual Medicine. His main interests are in clinical research and continuing health education.
Dr Misri holds the position of Professor Emeritus at the Department of Psychiatry, University of British Columbia (UBC). She is the founding director and former medical/ research director of the Reproductive Mental Health Program B.C. Women’s Hospital. She has extensive research experience of over 35 years primarily in the field of women’s mental health and has won many awards including, Women in Research Award for the Federation of Women Doctors of Canada in 2017 and TRICEPS Award at UBC in 2011. She has published three books 1) Postpartum Psychiatric Disorders in New Fathers- Springer (2018); 2) Pregnancy Blues- Random House (2006); 3) Shouldn’t I Be Happy- Simon & Schuster (1995) and over 20 book chapters with publishers including, Cambridge University Press; Oxford University Press; Harper Collins. She is published in scientific journals and presented extensively at local, national, international conferences and panels including the American and Canadian Psychiatric Association, World Congress of Psychiatry and Trial Lawyers Association. Dr Misri has wide-ranging teaching experience of medical students, residents, fellows and psychology/nursing/social work trainees for which she won the UBC Continuing Medical Education Award in 2008. Her media experiences include television appearances on CTV National News, CBC, NBC, ABC and numerous radio interviews such as CBC, CKNW, CKBD. Select print publications include: The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Globe and Mail, The National, Vancouver Sun, The Province, Elle Magazine, MacLean’s Magazine and Chatelaine Magazine.
This course is designed for family physicians, specialists, and allied health care professionals. The aim is to provide evidence-based material, as well as practical and relevant clinical pearls that will be easy to implement into one’s own medical practice. Conference attendees will be invited to complete a pre-course Needs Assessment to assist the faculty with the development of their presentations.

The CME will feature Updates on Urology & Psychiatry. The faculty is Dr. Jay Lee (a urologist from Alberta) and Dr. Shaila Misri (a psychiatrist from British Columbia). They are both veteran Sea Courses’ speakers.
Dr. Lee’s topics will include Internet Dating and STI’s – Is there a Connection, Testosterone Deficiency and Sexual Dysfunction in Men.
Dr. Misri will review Depression, Managing Depression & aiming for full recovery, Mood and anxiety disorders in Pregnancy, OCD, PTSD and Medical Malpractice
