Detailed Port Descriptions

Dubai, UAE

A taxi from the airport to the port or the city center takes around 30 mins. For an overview of this sprawling city, ascend the Burj Khalifa, the tallest structure in the world. Cruise from Dubai to step back in time in the Al Fahidi Historical District, and visit the Dubai Museum to learn about the fast evolution from fishing to pearling village to a global center of commerce finance and tourism.

Sir Bani Yas, UAE

Originally the private retreat of Sheikh Zayed, the desert island of Sir Bani Yas today is home to thousands of free-roaming animals and stark desert landscapes. Embark on a 4 x 4 adventure to spot cheetahs and oryx, a species of antelope native to the region. Visit the ruins of Sir Bani Yas Christian Church and Monastery, thought to date back to 600 A.D.

Doha, Qatar

Qatar's capital is a city in the making. Once a small fishing and pearling town, the city has undergone tremendous growth: Today, it's a mix of ultra-modernity and classical culture. Cruise to Doha and start your visit in the reinvented and atmospheric Souq Waqif, the standing market where you can peruse the stalls full of colorful, fragrant spices and ornate, handwoven traditional garments. Then, marvel at the treasures in the world-class Museum of Islamic Art, where you'll find ancient Persian rugs, Turkish mosaics and other pieces of traditional handicraft. Next, take a taxi to Katara Cultural Village: Built in 2010, it's a modern reinvention of classic Qatar architecture, with many small, hidden alleys and a huge marble amphitheatre at its center.

Abu Dhabi, UAE

Stroll along the Corniche, lined with beach, children’s play areas, separate cycle and pedestrian pathways, cafes and reserautants. Take in the city’s past with a visit to the Al Hosn Palace, the oldest building in Abu Dhabi. Then go shopping—a national pastime of Abu Dhabi—in Yas Mall, or one of the many other large, modern shopping centres.
