About The Speaker

Steven is a Toronto Community Paediatrician and a Staff Emergency Room Physician at the Hospital for Sick Children. He was awarded his Associate Professor designation for his advocacy work in enhancing vaccine uptake amongst vaccine hesitant populations. His latest focus is on Health Care Provider Vaccine Hesitancy, where he provided the inaugural lecture of the Dalla Lana School of Public Health, Center for Vaccine Prevention. He has publications on vaccine induced pain prevention, and a clinical pilot demonstrating lack of need for alcohol skin preparation.
Steven has earned 10 university teaching awards.

Formerly he was an active member on the Provincial Infectious Disease Advisory Committee, the Paediatric Education Director at North York General Hospital, and the Chair of the Education Committee for the Child Health Network.

He has created and implemented a vision screening and eyeglass program in 4 African Countries.

Steven has developed the science and has Health Canada recognition, for a medical device that removes influenza, coronavirus and rsv from the nose.

Dr. Ward is a community-based Family Physician practicing in a large interdisciplinary medical home in NW Calgary caring for close to 25,000 patients.  Dr. Ward is Clinical Associate Professor in the Cummings School of Medicine at the University of Calgary and has special clinical interest in Chronic Disease Management and Mental Health.  His leadership position with Primary Care Alberta – Medical Director, Primary Care for the Calgary Zone, allows him to contribute to community-based initiatives bringing together Specialty Care and Primary Care to improve population health outcomes.  For over two decades, Rick has contributed to national and regional guideline and pathway development in a variety of disease and therapeutic areas.

Day 1 | March 15, 2026 | Miami, Florida

Miami moves to a rhythm all its own— from the sun-drenched beaches to a diverse blend of cultures. Indulge in the glitzy chic of Miami Beach and explore Little Havana’s deep-rooted Cuban heritage. Unwind on Key Biscayne’s serene shorelines, pedal along Ocean Drive or paddle a kayak through Oleta River State Park’s winding mangrove channels. Head to Coconut Grove to take in the bohemian vibe. Tour the Vizcaya estate’s Renaissance-inspired gardens. Miami cruises give guests the opportunity to check out the Perez Art Museum’s contemporary collections. Whether it’s deep-sea fishing, Art Deco architecture, world-class cuisine or endless nightlife, adventure shines bright in The Magic City.

Nestled right between Montego Bay and Ocho Rios, Falmouth is the perfect backdrop for discovery in Jamaica during your cruise— but there’s lots to do right there. For a relaxing ride along the shoreline, hop on horseback in Chukkah Beach. Cruise to Falmouth and head to the Water Square and jam out with the locals to live reggae. Culture cravers can get their fix during high tea at the historical Good Hope Estate overlooking the Queen of Spain Valley. Grand Cayman is where the high life meets island life.
