Dr. Alibhai graduated from McGill Medical School in Montreal, Canada. He is the Medical Director of MD/cosmetic and Laser Clinic in Abbotsford and Port Moody, BC. He is a Faculty Member and a Program Director of the International Institute of Aesthetic Medicine and is a Clinical Instructor for the UBC Faculty of Medicine. He is a Past-President of the Canadian Association of Aesthetic Medicine. He has written articles in several aesthetic magazines and journals and frequently appears in the media as an expert in aesthetic medicine. Dr. Alibhai has been training clinicians on various applications in aesthetic medicine since 2001 and has trained over 3,000 doctors worldwide. He is an internationally recognized speaker and author in the field of aesthetic medicine.

About The Speaker

Dr. Steven Poirier has been trained in Family Medicine and has been practicing medicine since 2012.  He obtained his medical degree and Family Medicine residency training through the Northern Ontario School of Medicine Program.  He has practiced in a variety of settings including Emergency Medicine, Hospital Medicine, and General Family Medicine in the office setting.

He has been involved in teaching the next generation of physician since 2013 by being an associate professor for the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Toronto at the level of Lecturer.  He has also been a regular preceptor through the Rural Ontario Medicine Program and one the preceptors for the francophone stream of the medicine programme at the University of Ottawa.

He has special interest in Longevity Medicine and disease prevention.

Of note, Dr. Poirier has also trained as a Chiropractor.  He graduated from Logan College of Chiropractic in 2003 and practiced until 2006 when he decided to enter medicine.  As a result, he has a strong expertise in areas of the neuro-musculoskeletal system and has an understanding and respect for the holistic approach to medicine and preventative care mindset.

Having been born and raised in Northern Ontario, Dr. Poirier is fluent in both English and French languages.
