ADVANCES IN ENDOCRINOLOGY, CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASE & CHRONIC PAIN MANAGEMENT

CME AWAY® by Sea Courses is delighted to invite you to a 7-night land-based Continuing Medical Education (CME) program at Sandals Barbados in January 2027. This exceptional educational experience combines clinical learning with a tropical getaway, offering an engaging opportunity for family physicians, specialists, and allied health professionals alike. The program has been developed by Dr. Sol Stern and Dr. Jill Trinacty, who bring extensive clinical experience and passion for medical education to the event.   Dr. Sol Stern, Medical Director of CME AWAY® by Sea Courses, practiced Family Medicine in Oakville, Ontario, until his retirement from clinical practice in 2025. He continues to be actively involved in medical education and program development. Over the past 25 years, Dr. Stern has presented more than 1,000 CME programs across Canada, focusing on cardiovascular disease, diabetes, stroke, and chronic pain management.  In Barbados, he will facilitate interactive discussions on the Canadian opioid guidelines, chronic pain management, atrial fibrillation, hypertension, and practice management.   Dr. Jill Trinacty is originally from Nova Scotia and completed her residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Endocrinology and Metabolism at The Ottawa Hospital. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine and serves as a consultant and affiliate researcher with Bruyère Continuing Care. Dr. Trinacty is also a lecturer at the University of Ottawa, Vice Chair of the Endocrinology Section for the Ontario Medical Association, and an editor for Canadian Diabetes and Endocrinology Today.  Her sessions will cover weight management, type 2 diabetes management, adrenal gland lesions, thyroid disease, and cardiovascular protection.   Dr. Stern and Dr. Trinacty look forward to welcoming you to Barbados for a week of learning, collaboration, and relaxation in paradise.
