Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 Santa Cruz de Tenerife
Santa Cruz de Tenerife, the capital of the Canary Islands, is known for its vibrant culture, beautiful beaches, and the famous annual Carnival of Santa Cruz, one of the largest in the world. Located on the northeastern coast of Tenerife, the city offers a mix of modern amenities, historical architecture, and scenic landscapes.
Day 2 Santa Cruz de Palma
Santa Cruz de La Palma is the capital city of the island of La Palma in the Canary Islands, known for its well-preserved colonial architecture and charming cobblestone streets. The city offers scenic views, historical sites, and is a gateway to exploring the lush, natural beauty of La Palma.
Day 3 San Sebastian (La Gomera)
From a distance, La Gomera looks impenetrable. Noodle-thin roads wriggle up cliff faces, and the white specks that look like mountain goats on the inaccessible crags turn out to be houses. Up-close, however, the landscape transitions into lush valleys, glamorous black-pebble beaches and stunning rock formations. The main town welcomes you with shaded plazas, pastel coloured buildings and the inescapable fact that Columbus paused here on all three of his voyages to the New World.
Day 4 At Sea
Days 5 & 6 Funchal
Considered one of Portugal’s main tourist attractions and home of world-famous footballer Cristiano Ronaldo, Funchal is known for its style and beauty. Visit Cabo Girao, the highest sea cliff in Europe or take a trip to the Pica da Torre for an incredible view of Camara de Lobos, a delightful fishing village. With a long history of Madeira winemaking, there’ll be time here for a little wine tasting, a meal at one of the many 5-star restaurants, sightseeing to 15th century Cathedral of Our Lady of the Assumption, shopping the bargains to be found here, or experiencing the vibrant night life.
Day 7 At Sea
Day 8 Lanzarote
Nature is the star on this small volcanic island. Enjoy the afternoon on the beach or follow the island’s famous wine trail, tasting as you go. This, the most northerly of the Canary Islands, welcomes you with laid-back hospitality and genuine warmth. This region of petrified lava makes up the National Park of Timanfaya and its Mountains of Fire, where visions of a lifeless, prehistoric earth, with enormous craters of an incandescent red color, can be seen on a bus or even a camel tour. This unique atmosphere has made it a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and one of the most impressive natural parks in all of Spain.
Days 9 & 10 Las Palmas
Las Palmas, the co-capital of the Canary Islands, is renowned for its bustling port, historic districts like Vegueta, and beautiful urban beaches such as Las Canteras. The city blends a rich cultural heritage with modern amenities, making it a vibrant destination for both tourists and locals.
Day 11 Santa Cruz de Tenerife
Today you will disembark Windstar Wind Star with an appreciation of exploring less visited places with authentic local experiences.
