Canadian trained general Urologist with postdoctoral work in endocrinology at the University of Texas, Dallas. Presently Chief of Urology at Halton Healthcare Services , a 600 bed Community facility that services a population of 750,000. In addition, Dr Casey manages a research company that specializes in early stage new product development. His research group consists of over 50 practicing Urologist across Canada and the United States.
Main clinical interests include male sexual function and BPH. Since 2011 he has spent approximately 2 years overseas practicing general Urology in 2-3 month sessions primarily in New Zealand.
His Community research practice includes a number of Real World Data Registries that have collected practice data on Prostate Cancer investigation and treatment. With over 3000 men on Registry, Dr Casey has a broad knowledge on the patient journey through diagnosis and treatment of this disease.
Orthopaedics
Dr. Deakon obtained his medical degree at the University of Ottawa in 1983. Subsequently did a surgical internship at Toronto General Hospital followed by an orthopaedic residency at the University of Ottawa. He completed a Fellowship in Arthroscopy and Knee Ligament Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Ottawa – Carleton Sports Medicine Clinic. He holds specialty certification in Orthopaedic Surgery from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. In private practice in Oakville, Ontario since 1989 and is an active staff member at Halton Healthcare Services-Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital site. Dr. Deakon is the Director at the Oakville Sports Injury Clinic and the Orthopaedic surgeon for the 100th, 105th,109th and 111th Grey Cup winning Toronto Argonauts. He is the Orthopaedic surgeon for the York University Lions football team, Master instructor for the Arthroscopy Association of North America, Associate Clinical instructor McMaster University and Member of the Canadian Society of Medial Evaluators.
