Overall program objectives: This course is designed for Family Physicians, Specialists, and Allied Health Care professionals. The aim is to provide evidence-based material as well as practical and relevant clinical PEARLS that will be easy to implement into one’s medical practice. Conference attendees will be invited to complete a pre-course needs assessment form to facilitate the faculty with the development of their presentations.

Iceland is well known for its great variety and beauty in scenery and landscape. It is young and volcanic and each quarter of the island has multiple choices of stunning scenic attractions. Reykjavik, the capital and biggest city, has a reputation of a cultural city that has grown rapidly with extensive and beautiful art, design, music, theater and literature offered on a daily basis and major festivals taking place throughout the year. This trip will let you see many of the spectacular scenes Iceland has to offer including dramatic, volcanic landscape of geysers, hot springs, water falls, glaciers and black sand beaches.


CERTIFICATION This Group Learning Program meets the certification criteria of the College of Family Physicians of Canada and has been certified by the College of Family Physicians of Canada for up to 14.00 MAINPRO+ credits. This event meets the criteria as an Accredited Group Learning Activity Section 1, Maintenance of Certification (MOC), of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada for 14.00 hours.Members of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) are eligible to receive up to 14.00 prescribed hours for attendance at this event due to a reciprocal agreement with the CFPC. When reporting to the AAFP, credits earned must be reported as MAINPRO-M1 The American Medical Association (AMA) accepts the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) 14.00 AAFP Prescribed credit as equivalent to AMA PRA Category 1™ Credit for the AMA Physician’s Recognition Award (PRA). Each physician should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in this activity.
